Novato Little League North (Rookie)- Sunday May 10th, 2009 Mets vs the Cardinals

A happy Mother's Day indeed as our Met's came out to play, delivering our moms a performance full of ESPN worthy highlights. Game Balls were earned both by Justin Creamer and Bryce Bernales. Golden Glove Justin C. scooped up several balls at second base, while simultaneously tagging out runners. Bryce B. had his bat come alive by consistently hitting throughout the game. But folks, it didn't end there! Michael Lamerdin was in fine form stopping several ground balls as the pitcher, Sterling Reed hit a double, Tyler Nettelman had a pair of RBIs, Tyler Pendleton slugged one to the outfield, Matthew Baetkey slugged a double, and Dylan Creamer showed his running speed by beating out throws to first base. Tyler Pendleton summed it up best when interviewed by coach Mo at first base. "Hey Tyler P, are you going to play on Babe Silva field one day?" Tyler Pendleton looked back, smiling with stars in his eyes, only to say "Ooooh Yeahhh!".

Novato Little League North (Rookie)- Saturday May 9th, 2009 Mets vs the Giants

All hands on deck against the mighty Giants. Some serious fun was had here today as the Mets dug down deep and held their own.

Game balls went to Tyler Pendelton and Justin Keizer. Tyler P. caught the heat despite the baking sun, as well as provided a solid hitting performance. Justin K. had an acrobatic catch at first base, followed by a quick turn to the bag to force the base runner out. Let's just say it was all in day's work for this young man.

Novato North Little League (Rookie) - Thursday April 23rd, 2009 Mets vs the Marlins

Three up three down let's throw it around. The players showed us how far they've come today. Dylan Creamer started the Mets off right with a RBI with his first at bat. Bryce Bernales dazzled with his speed in tagging out runners at second base. And joining in the fun was Sterling Reed who raised havoc hitting with his line drives to third base as a Lefty!

Stopping line drives, and batting his own drives, today's game ball goes to our pitcher Michael Lamerdin. Michael provided us all a clinic on giving it your all.

Little League Giants Game April 19th, 2009

Hot day for the Mets on the field today, only today's field was the track around AT&T Park. Our boys walked the field as Giants warmed up on the field, Diamond Back players were being interviewed in dug outs, and scores of little league players paraded the field. A day of fun in the sun filled with friends, slides, and orange wiffle ball bats. Minor league players from Novato's own North Little League took the field, only to be met by their counter part Giants. Each received an autographed ball, a smile, and a handshake. When watching a major league player chatting up a little league player, I couldn't help but wonder...maybe one of them would be our kid some day.

Novato North Little League (Rookie) - Sunday April 5th, 2009 Mets vs the Rockies

Crossing the Rockies was no easy feat. But after yesterday's batting refresher course, our Met's bats lit up the field with line drives. Today's game ball went to Bryce Bernales for outstanding batting and shortstop play. Bryce's swing came around, crediting him for a double and a RBI. In addition, the Rockies drove several bouncing balls at him, that Bryce stopped both with his glove and body! Now that's called taking one (3 actually) for the team.

Novato North Little League (Rookie) - Saturday April 4th, 2009 Mets vs the Pirates

The winds were a blowin' with the Pirates sailing in. Pitches flew inside, and bats were left swinging. But our Mets managed some stand out performances just the same with excellent defense and offense all around. Today's game ball went to Sed Conklin. Sed's golden glove performance at second base was fun to watch, stopping anything that came his way.

Novato North Little League (Rookie) - Saturday March 28, 2009 Mets vs the Giants

Break out the sunscreen for today's afternoon scorcher. Despite the heat future MLB Silver Sluggers Tyler Nettelman and Sed Conklin consistently batted their way onto the bases. Dylan Creamer and Michael Lamerdin provided the Mets excellent defense on the field, while Tyler Pendleton earns the Game Ball with his homerun and Catcher skills.

Novato North Little League (Rookie) - Friday March 27, 2009 Mets vs the Marlins

Something must have been in the air for the Mets bats were on fire tonight. The hits echoed through the baseball diamonds earning cheers and admiration from all. Bryce Bernales continued the show with his Golden Glove performance at 2nd base. Not to be outdone, Sterling Reed pulls through with a pair of RBIs. Tonight's game ball went to Matthew Baetkey for slugging the first Mets home run of the season!.

Novato North Little League (Rookie) - Monday March 23, 2009 Mets vs the Reds

No doom and gloom clouds for our Mets today. Winds were calm, the sun was out, and the hot dogs just right. Tyler Pendleton controlled the teams with a stellar performance as catcher. Matthew Baetkey hit early on, sparking a Mets rally! Today's game ball went to Justin Keizer for his one man double play including a circus catch at third base, with a quick forced tag out at third base. I tell you folks, the ooohs and aaahs were even heard over the loud speaker at Babe Silva Field.

Novato North Little League (Rookie) - Sunday March 22, 2009 Mets vs the Padres

Despite the doom and gloom rain clouds our Mets shined in their home opener against the Padres. Jeremy Janssen showed us the definition of a catcher extraordinaire. Tyler Pendleton stared the pitching machine down, only to rip a hit down the third base line. Not to be outdone, quick thinking Justin Creamer fielded a grounder at first and flipped a double play to 2nd base, earning the Met's coveted game ball award!
